The winners of these prestigious awards are determined by a panel consisting of leaders in the auto design industry who represent car makers from across the globe as well as transportation design pioneers from the world’s top design education centers. “With…[the 2018 Lexus] LS, our goal was to make the same sort of impact that the original [Lexus] LS made when it debuted in 1989,” said Koichi Suga, LS chief designer. “We’re very proud that the EyesOn Design judges recognized our efforts and awarded the best interior honor to the [2018 Lexus] LS 500.”
The all-new 2018 Lexus LS 500 marks the fifth-generation for the Lexus brand’s flagship sedan. The 2018 Lexus LS 500 was designed to represent a luxury vehicle that embodies Japanese traditions and culture while maintaining its mass appeal. The approach to the vehicle’s design was to reconsider what a true flagship automobile should be and to act as if the Lexus brand was being relaunched from scratch. With its complete redesign, the 2018 Lexus LS 500 was crafted to exceed consumers’ expectations for a luxury car.
