Have you recently been involved in an accident? We know it’s an overwhelming time and you may not be certain how to proceed. That’s why we’re addressing our frequently asked questions at our Fields collision center to help you figure out what kind of help you need.
Q: When do I need to visit a collision center?
A: We recommend that you visit a collision center if you’ve been involved in an accident. While damage to your vehicle’s body may be evident, you may also now face mechanical issues as well. Even if you weren’t in a serious accident, it’s still a good idea to make sure there isn’t any hidden damage.
Q: Is a collision center the same as a service center?
A: A collision center is where you want to go if you’ve been involved in an accident. Its main goal is to get your vehicle back to a like-new quality, in both appearance and performance.
A service center, on the other hand, is typically for routine maintenance tasks like:
- Oil changes
- Filter replacements
- Fluid top-offs (brake fluid, transmission fluid, etc.)
- Tire rotations
Q: Do I need OEM parts?
A: Unfortunately, collisions often require parts replacements. When you need parts replacements, we always recommend OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts.
You can feel confident that these genuine parts will fit your vehicle perfectly and work the way they are intended. Our collision center uses OEM parts because we want to ensure that your vehicle’s superior quality stays intact.
Your safety is always our top concern. If you’ve recently been involved in an accident, we encourage you to visit our Lexus dealership in Jacksonville, FL to ensure that your vehicle is still one that you can count on.
