Whereas the Lexus NX is a compact SUV, the Lexus UX is a subcompact vehicle. The 2019 Lexus UX is offered as the Lexus UX 200 and the Lexus UX 250h. Boasting clearly defined angles, crisp edges, and the Lexus brand’s unmistakable grille, the Lexus UX has a look that can’t be associated with any other car maker.
The 2019 Lexus UX boasts enough seating to accommodate five passengers. This SUV’s driving position is similar to a sport hatch, but the hip points are higher than they are in a typical car. This makes getting in and out easier.
The gas-only Lexus UX is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 168 horsepower. This powertrain is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The hybrid version of the SUV has the same engine, but it’s matched with an electric assist motor and a nickel-metal hydride battery pack. Together, these components produce 176 horsepower.
