For up and coming chefs, it is an opportunity to give people in New York a taste of what they are creating around the globe,” says Kirk Edmondson, general manager of INTERSECT BY LEXUS – NYC. “For the next 4 to 6 months, Chef Sergio [Barroso] will share his vision of Latin America in the heart of the Meatpacking District.”
During his four to six month tenure at INTERSECT BY LEXUS, the owner of Latin America’s Restaurante 040 will feature a tasting menu consisting of 12-course small plates curated from the 30 or so Chef Barroso has created over the years. Barroso will change his menu daily to highlight local flavors and various avant-garde cooking techniques. As a result, Barroso will infuse a new dynamic into the restaurant every day that he acts as its head chef.
Chef Barroso’s turn as Global Chef-in-Residence at INTERSECT BY LEXUS begins in April, 2019.
