What Is Lexus Safety System+?
Many new Lexus vehicles offer an available or standard driver-assist suite called Lexus Safety System+ (LSS+). Depending on the model, model year, and trim level, LSS+ may include technologies such as the Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with Steering Assist, and additional support features designed to help monitor certain driving conditions. Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with Steering Assist
One common sign of inattention is unintentionally drifting within or out of a lane. Using sensor data (such as a camera and radar, depending on vehicle configuration), PDA may provide gentle braking and/or steering support in specific scenarios—such as helping maintain following distance or providing assistance when approaching curves—when it detects conditions that may benefit from added support.
